Volume 4, Resources 3: Covid Risk Assessment and Anti-racism Resource Guide
This is a public issue of Enthusiastic Encouragement & Dubious Advice. Feel free to share it!
Hi friends! We have mostly moved into our new home. Unpacking hasn’t really happened because we haven’t had a single moment to breathe much less unpack but we’re doing our best. By the time you’re reading this, Mom is finally home from the hospital and her next round of chemo starts next week.
It’s a resource week, so let’s get to it!
Resource #1: Covid risk at a conference via Violet Blue
As many of you know, I depend on Violet Blue’s Pandemic Roundups on her Patreon for the most up-to-date pandemic reporting. Yes, there is still a pandemic and many people continue to die from Covid-19 daily. That being said, in-person conferences and events are happening and Violet has written a Covid risk assessment post that has a lot of links. I want to make it clear that Violet is not a medical professional; she is an investigative journalist. It is important that we make informed decisions and what I appreciate about her post is that it has a lot of cited resources that I can look at to inform myself.
Resource #2: Anti-racism Resource Guide via Tasha K
While I love me some primary resources, I clearly have a big space in my heart for fellow resource round-ups. I don’t think this guide made it onto my Absolutely Massive List of Anti-racist Resources for Black Lives Matter Allies but I’ll definitely be adding it. Tasha K’s resource guide is nicely organized, starting with some pre-reading, then flowing to starting your journey, continuing your journey, and then further resources from books to podcasts to folks to follow online.
