Volume 4, Quickie 3: Refocusing This Week and a Bonus Fun Thing

Hi friends! I am attending funerary services this week for my cousin’s husband and I do not know how much my attending another funeral is going to be a blow to me emotionally, given how my 2023 has gone thus far. So, I am giving myself permission to be really gentle with myself this week and that means not putting out a full newsletter. I’ll probably curl up with a lot of blankets and read during the evenings this week. It’s still weirdly cool weather-wise where I am.
I do want to share something with you, though. I was recently reminded(?) of Forgotify. I think it’s been around since late 2013 or early 2014. Millions of songs on Spotify have never been played or have only been played partially so Forgotify is a place to go where you can give some of these songs a listen at random. They haven’t posted to Twitter since 2018, the last post to Instagram was May 2014, and the website looks like it was last updated in 2017 if the note at the bottom of the home page is to be believed. All that being said, it seems as though it’s still totally accessible. I find it absolutely fascinating.
Also, here’s some advice: Do silly shit whenever you have the opportunity. I recently carved a watermelon like a Jack O’Lantern.
