Hi friends. Friday April 14th we are having my mother’s funeral. I have skipped writing the newsletter this week in lieu of writing my mother’s eulogy, which is its own special flavor of… awful, I guess.
I do want to give a thank you to the folks who have sent snail mail condolences and reminders that you’ll all be fine if you don’t get a newsletter for a bit. I appreciate you.
I also want to thank the folks that have sent along tips and/or purchased things from my Bookshop. The United States is proficiently brutal as it makes it both outrageously expensive for us to live as well as excessively expensive for us to die.
My family tends to put the “FUN” in funerals (as well as dysfunction) so believe me, the music will slap and we’ll be laughing as much as we’ll be crying. Why have feelings when we can have jokes?
That’s it for this week! You can shop any books I’ve mentioned in this newsletter at my affiliate shop, The Infophile’s Bookshop, and support independent bookstores. If you want to send me some snail mail, you can find me at P.O. Box 21481, Oakland, CA 94620-1481. If you are a subscriber and would like for me to send you some happy mail, feel free to give me your address.
If you enjoy this newsletter, here are ways to show your support for my writing and resource curation (other than upgrading your subscription and spreading the word, of course!):
