This is a public issue of Enthusiastic Encouragement & Dubious Advice. Feel free to share it!

Hi friends! I saw a video on TikTok the other day of a girl (maybe around 12?) helping her dad learn English and he messed up a word and she hugged him and said, “It’s okay! It’s a process!” and I burst into tears. So that’s how I’m doing. How are you?

Don’t forget about last week’s EEDA Pod episode!  Decluttering, Delegating, and Doing Less: The Art of Letting Go

In this episode of Enthusiastic Encouragement & Dubious Advice, Patricia and Nicole discuss their recent efforts to declutter their home, reflecting on the emotional and practical benefits of letting go of unnecessary items. They explore the challenges of self-imposed responsibility, the importance of delegating tasks, and the psychological costs of feeling obligated to keep everyone informed and cared for. The hosts also share personal stories, listener interactions, and encourage their audience to be kind to themselves, delegate when possible, and find joy in small accomplishments.

It’s another resource week so let’s get to it!

Resource 1: Mass Defiance Resources: A living document

Looks like this is curated by this person, with whom I am unfamiliar. I did not vet every resource here. There are a number of things on here with which I am familiar and have shared in the EEDA newsletter before but as with all resources, I recommend you do your due diligence.

Resource 2: Anxiety Toolkit

An open-source anxiety toolkit: “Free tools to help when you're feeling anxious. These exercises are simple to follow and don't require any special equipment - use them whenever your mind feels too busy or when you need a moment of calm.”

I immediately became obsessed with the stress relief bubbles.
