This is a public issue of Enthusiastic Encouragement & Dubious Advice. Feel free to share it!

Hi friends! Not much of an intro tonight because I have 10,000 things I want to get done in the next two hours that don’t involve being on the internet. One thing I will gladly share though is that I finally got our EEDA Pod merch shop open! You can find it at https://eedapod.myshopify.com/ and it is always linked on our podcast’s webpage, https://eedapod.com/.

Don’t forget about the latest episode of the EEDA Pod! Our Most Popular Communication Skill: Some/Many/Most

This episode of "Enthusiastic Encouragement and Dubious Advice" covers Nicole and Patricia's recent activities, including a trip to Santa Rosa, obtaining library cards, and trying new hobbies like crochet and Pilates. They introduce and explain the communication tool "some/many/most," which helps avoid sweeping generalizations in conversations. The hosts also discuss their current reads and emphasize the importance of taking breaks and showing kindness to oneself.

You can find our show, Enthusiastic Encouragement & Dubious Advice on Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Spotify, and wherever else you get your podcasts. You can also support the show on Patreon, where we have some perks for paid subscribers with even more coming this year. You can also just make a recurring donation through subscribing to our Patreon, as our show is independently run and without ads. It helps keep us going!

Bonus: We updated the top tier of our Patreon to make it more accessible! You can find that announcement here.

It’s another resource week and the genocide in Gaza is ongoing. Palestinians are being starved to death in addition to being murdered directly. It can be difficult to know where to direct money for aid so here are some resources. Whenever I find myself about to buy absurd shit online I turn around and donate that amount somewhere. Most recently it was to PBS and NPR. The list below is where I will turn to next. It is the first of the month and many folks get paid today so if you have any money to spare, here is where you can direct some of it:

  • First, The Cut has a round-up of orgs to give to

  • Pal Humanity: Global Initiative led by two Palestinian Female Doctors, to offer immediate relief and sustainable support to the people of Gaza.

  • Reviving Gaza: Gazan-led mutual aid group

  • The Sameer Project: Donations based initiative, led by Palestinians in the diaspora, working to supply aid to displaced families in Gaza.

  • Gaza Soup Kitchen: Locally led, globally supported. Gaza Soup Kitchen provides hot meals and clean water to Palestinians in Gaza facing deliberate starvation.

  • The Dignity for Palestinians campaign is a community-based initiative in Gaza providing essential support like food parcels, clean water, and basic health services to displaced and vulnerable families. With the backing of supporters around the world, we respond as resources allow—prioritizing dignity, care, and local leadership in everything we do.
