EEDA Newsletter Vol 5, Iss 15: Making Some Space on a Full Plate
This is a public issue of Enthusiastic Encouragement & Dubious Advice. Feel free to share it!
Hi friends! With a combination of work, other work, other other work, family stuff, and some activism volunteering, I officially have too much on my plate right now. While I am not great at letting something go completely, I do think I need a bit less of something this week and so, while you’re getting a little something in your inbox, today’s newsletter issue isn’t the usual thoughtful essay of every other week.
That being said, I have a huge archive of newsletter issues and you can use your usual reading time this morning to do a bit of catch-up if you have a backlog. One of the recent issues has a few ideas on what you can do right now to address <gestures broadly> so maybe it’s time to revisit that and dig in. Feel free to share that issue, too!
If you have some spare time, we would also love it if you listen to our podcast, subscribe, like, give us a review/rating, and share it as well. You can find our show, Enthusiastic Encouragement & Dubious Advice on Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Spotify, and wherever else you get your podcasts.
It would be particularly helpful because by looking at the extreme drop in numbers on YouTube, I’m thinking our queer little show may have already gotten shadow banned or something on that platform. Sigh.
Please don’t forget to take some time to look away from screens today, unclench your jaw, hydrate, and have a few moments to yourself. For those of you who used to follow me on Twitter, I’d do daily check-ins, which started in November 2016. I may not get to it daily, but I’m planning on frequent check-ins on Bluesky and Instagram so follow me there if that is something that you would find helpful.
That’s it for this week! You can shop many books I’ve mentioned in this newsletter at my affiliate shop, The Infophile’s Bookshop, and support independent bookstores. In fact, any Bookshop, Amazon, or Etsy links in this newsletter are affiliate links so if you shop through those, it helps support my work. Or you can leave me a tip on Ko-fi, Paypal, or Venmo.
If you want to send me some snail mail, you can find me at P.O. Box 21481, Oakland, CA 94620-1481.
